Testy Moan~ials:
What others are saying about this site publicly...

The following are some websites which have linked with comments to AutoBuyology...

1. Peter Grace's Bookmarks:
"If I ever consider purchasing an automobile, I'll read CARveat Emptor first!" [a carless car deal literate]

2. MojoWire [Mother Jones Magazine Online]:
"CARveat Emptor -- "In the market for a car? Before you do anything, sign anything or pay anything, check out this site, which lists various scams that car companies and dealerships use. If you wind up with a lemon, don't say we didn't warn you."

3. The Detroit News: MetroLife
"CARveat Emptor: Tricks of the Great American Car Deal: A very jaded site on making deals for cars, sprinkled with a few interesting suggestions and insights: http://www.well.com/user/kr2" ["Jaded"?... perhaps, if jaded means wisened... we accept the jaded label, afterall, it's the auto industry and not us who is slamming customers to the tune of tens of billions of dollars every year... and the majority of Americans and their government merely stand by and allow it...]

4. AIMC:
"Carveat"--get it. It's all about not being a car dummy when you go to buy one. Great stuff on the art of the deal from the consumer's perspective, plus auto updates on crash tests, lemon law stuff, and just plain invigorating consumer information. Makes you believe you're in the driver's seat [pun intended -- heck, we're a pun-intensive site :)]

5. Nick's Automotive Links:
"Another great resource, of interest to folks who are in the market for a car, is CARveat Emptor, Tricks of the Great American Car Deal. An Irreverent, and witty guide to avoiding getting ripped off and getting the best deal. This is a must read." [Compare with "jaded" comments above]

6. Marcus' Links Page:
"This ain't really a biking page, but its an anti-auto page, which is almost as good as s cycling page, chaotic, unorganized and long. Worth checking out just for that."

7. Pigeon Hill Universe-ity:
"CARveat Emptor: Tricks of the Great American Car Deal. An irreverent, witty 'how to' buy a car."

8. Akron-Canton (Ohio - Rubber & tire capitol of the World?) Connection Automotive Links:
CARveat Emptor. Subtitled "tricks of the great American car deal," Rand Knox's enraged-consumer page rants about unscrupulous car dealers--hoping to offset what he claims is $22 billion a year in auto fraud. A lot of this is downright nasty. A facetious list of 10 reasons to buy from a factory-authorized dealer is 59 items long (and still growing). CARveat Emptor tries to position itself as some kind of arbitrator. Wrong. It's blatantly biased--but the kind of consumer resource that can come in handy. [Well, er, ahh, geez, thanks? (:-)) ["Blatantly biased"?, perhaps... we suppose one would consult the auto industry for "balance"... (:-), Hey, Henry Ford was an industrial genious... had the Nazis won, he'd'h've merely kept on making vehicles for the Third Reich, since he played both sides in the war... "Blatantly biased", hum?]
